going on a last minute trip to Palm Springs. Staying here. Friends of ours rented the whole place out. Pretty excited to lounge poolside. Have a great weekend!

I'm not normally one for leather couches, but this color!

I heart art: Carl Kleiner + Marina Aurora

{Carl Kleiner}

This week I'm featuring two different photographers: Carl Kleiner and Marina Aurora. I love their work separately and I love their work juxtapositionally. {made-up word alert} Equally compelling.

what am I now, a curator? yes. This is the internet, I can make up words and be anything I want.

Happy Birthday Dad!

{my Dad in Maui. ahh youth!}

more old pictures. I can't help myself.

Lounging is best when suspended in air.

Framed Broom, You Are Yelling

performance in pattern

{I like your double braid}

{paint splattered polka dots + top notch COLOR STORY}

{intricate plaid}

{watercolor. like the imperfections}

I think one of the main reasons I love fabrics so much is that repeat of pattern. It's always cool to see how patterns and prints get used in everyday things. These designs are from a Spanish company called SuTurno. Aren't the watercolor renderings awesome? Makes me want to paint. If you were on Facebook which one would you "like"?

goings on

{party banners + garland. I've got it covered}

{party drinks. don't worry! there was more.}

{party music}

{deliriously delicious cake from Sweet Caroline. banana leaf!}

{bar cart sighting. 50 bucks at Salvy's. couldn't do it. Did I blow it?}

{sweet baby Delilah in the afternoon sun}

hosted a surprise birthday party with lots of good food and company. thifting and playing babysitter.  {just look at those booties, will you?}  record-breaking amounts of rain around these parts lately. {I love it.} the fireplace has been well loved... Hope you had a good weekend!

Everything here is wonderful

I collect old maps for paper crafts and this is one that deserves a frame. from best made company.

happy weekend!

whatever you do this weekend, I hope you have as much fun as my grandparents are having in this picture!

Living etc.

{love how this room feels open and airy, and at the same time inviting. The wood, leather
and colors of the rug work together to warm up and ground the space. Hi, T-Rex}

{unexpected arrangement of chairs, shapely wood table
with a very structured metallic-y bar. cowhide!}

Two photos from Living Etc. magazine. Dying for a subscription in a major way.

How do you feel about T-Rex's? Personally, I like the Brontosaurus.

project

working on a little something that required a 7 dollar hole punch. Deluxe!

Bolds + Brights

speaking of bright colors. These aerial shots of the beautiful Northern Holland Tulip fields are Un. Real. Maybe I should be a tulip farmer, so many fresh flowers at your fingertips! {Makes me miss living in Holland, biking everywhere and gold Dolce & Gabbana cell phones}

images from the flower drum

I heart art: David Benjamin Sherry

I'm a sucker for bold and bright colors and these manipulated photographs from artist David Benjamin Sherry are amazing. Perhaps blown up, framed and on your wall? BAM. ART. EASY.

Interior Inspiration: Large Photographs

definitely a statement in any room, a blown up photograph is an easy (and relatively cheap) way to add intrigue into a space. Which one catches your eye? Do you have any inspiration photos to share?
