I heart art: Art Mind's Babuschkas

Art Mind makes all different kinds of babuschkas that depict different kinds of feelings. I like the one with all the layers, but I suppose the one with the red cheeks is more appropriate...I'm such a blusher.

I heart art: Malene Landgreen

Malene Landgreen is from Copenhagen. She does lots of whole room installations too. I like her studies on color and shape, mostly geometric. It's fun that she also plays with really strict and straight lines along with the painterly, brushy effect in some of her pieces.

I heart art: Keltie Ferris

My friend Tristen introduced me to Keltie's work and I instantly loved it. She uses a spray paint technique in most of her paintings, along with oil, acrylic and pastels. Although abstract, there's a lot going on to keep your eyes interested.

I heart art: Lee Kwang-ho

Speaking of succulents and such...

Korean artist Lee Kwang-Ho does an amazing job at achieving hyper-real-life-ness...with only oil paint, canvas and an enviable technique.

This week I'm featuring two different photographers: Carl Kleiner and Marina Aurora. I love their work separately and I love their work juxtapositionally. {made-up word alert} Equally compelling.

what am I now, a curator? yes. This is the internet, I can make up words and be anything I want.
