Olle Eksell

I had seen this interior image from a cute little blog called Little Fine Day and I just loved the print hanging on the wall. I recently found out that the designer behind image is Olle Eksell, a Swedish designer. I did a little more investigating here. I would l.o.v.e. to find this print...but where, oh where?

Happy almost weekend!

Do you guys have any other book candy to share?

shoe envy.

I've been really anti-heel in my shoe wearing lately, but these are so fantastic! a TENOVERSIX and Vena Cava collab.  I haven't felt this way in a long time.

I've had this color combo in my head for a while now.  I'll put it here for safe keeping.

just darling.

a growth.

{random indoor plan goodness}

I like the idea of a corner or wall in a room where there is a mashup of different plants, just runnin' wild.

LA Craig

$200 bucks for the pair. In LA. I would keep fabric as is in the right setting.

I heart art: Laura Letinsky

loving Laura's use of negative space, unexpected color and lived in subject matter.

Before & After: A little project (Part 3)

Here's the bedroom. Kind of mellow in terms of a huge transformation, just a little more homey and comfortable.

before:

after:

done and done!

some simple changes and using what you have can in the right way make a big difference.

Before & After: A little project (Part 2)

hi. since we've already covered the living room transformation, lets move on to the hallway.

 before:
super sad looking shelf. tons of great books, too dark of a wall color for that small of a space, in my opinion. we ended up painting the walls the same lighter green moss color. trim = whitish. you can tell I've very particular about my paint colors. oh and hire me, I work real hard. as seen here:

you can see the sweat forming if you look really close.

let's get to the after

goodness gracious, these photos are grainy! I guess you get the idea. found this cute little pair of blondie wood chairs at Goodwill for $12.  We constructed the bookshelves. I hung that cow photo upside down, because I wanted to be avant-garde (and because it was a cool reflection shot).

all shelving was handmade. I like the organic branch leg. heirloom mirror, with a nice (walnut?) wood frame. way more open and airy than before. overall, a success. so cottage-y.

ok, so looks like there will be a part 3 posted later today. last and final...thanks for reading!
